Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo has selected his all-time Nigeria Super Eagles best eleven, sharing the lineup in a short video clip posted on the Super Eagles' official X account.

Okonkwo's chosen side blends legendary figures with current stars. He placed Vincent Enyeama between the posts, with a back four of Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, William Troost-Ekong, and Elderson Echiejile providing cover ahead of him.

In midfield, Okonkwo opted for the creative brilliance of Austin Okocha alongside the industry of John Obi Mikel and Wilfred Ndidi. Up front, he picked Victor Osimhen, Victor Moses, and Ademola Lookman to lead the attack.

Unity Cup debut on the horizon

The selection comes as Okonkwo prepares to pull on the Super Eagles shirt for the first time. Head coach Eric Chelle named the Wrexham stopper in the squad for the Unity Cup, a four-nation tournament in London also featuring India, Zimbabwe, and Jamaica.

Okonkwo is among 14 players who have already arrived in London ahead of the tournament. Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe confirmed that Junior Ayobami, Tijani Al Ameen, Michael Atata, Adeoye Aderemi, Chibueze Oputa, Ighoke Obinna, Elias Ocholi, and Tosin Oyedokun were in the group, along with Philip Otele, Femi Azeez, Owen Oseni, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Terem Moffi.

Efoghe added that the squad held their first training session on Saturday at Cray Valley FC, Middle Park Avenue, starting at 6pm.

Nigeria face the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the first semi-final on Tuesday, 26 May, while India and Jamaica contest the second semi-final on Wednesday, 27 May.
