Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been crowned the Premier League Player of the Season, capping a historic individual campaign at Old Trafford.

The 31-year-old scored 8 goals and registered 20 assists — equalling the all-time single-season record set by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. His contributions proved decisive as United secured a return to UEFA Champions League football.

Fernandes claims the honour for the first time in his career and becomes the first Manchester United player to win the award since Nemanja Matic in the 2010/11 season.

The Portuguese midfielder had already collected the FWA Footballer of the Year award earlier in the campaign, making this latest recognition the second major individual accolade of what has been a remarkable season by any measure.
