Nigeria head coach Éric Chelle offered a measured assessment of winger Femi Azeez following his two-goal debut in the Super Eagles' 2-0 Unity Cup semi-final victory over Zimbabwe's Warriors at the Valley on Tuesday.
Azeez marked his first international appearance in style, breaking the deadlock in the 5th minute after a clever lay-off from Terem Moffi. Moffi turned provider again shortly after the 62nd minute, setting up Azeez to double Nigeria's advantage and seal the win.
Chelle's assessment of Azeez
Despite the two goals, Chelle made clear that a brace alone would not shield Azeez from scrutiny. Speaking at the post-match media briefing, the coach struck a demanding tone.
