Chelsea's Team News Secret Out — Thanks to a Barcelona!

A Most unlikely Source
Chelsea's injury update before their Premier League clash against Brighton came from the most unexpected of places — a barber's chair.
Marc cucurella's personal barber took to X (formerly Twitter) hours before kick-off, posting a photo of the Spanish defender getting a fresh cut alongside a blunt message: "Palmer & João Pedro both injured. There's your exclusive."
Astonishingly, the leak turned out to be spot on. Neither Cole Palmer nor João Pedro appeared in Chelsea's matchday squad.
Palmer's absence a Major blow
Cole Palmer, Chelsea's creative heartbeat, sat out the trip to Brighton after picking up a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old England international didn't even make the journey to the south coast, having played the full 90 minutes in Chelsea's previous outing against Manchester United on Saturday.
For a side desperately chasing goals and points, losing their most influential attacker could not have come at a worse time.
Chelsea's leak problem returns
This is not the first time sensitive team information has escaped Chelsea's camp before a big game this season.
During both legs of their clashes against PSG in the UEFA Champions League, team news was also leaked in advance. Head coach liam rosenior had previously pointed the finger at someone outside the club, distancing the squad from any blame.
This time around, however, that explanation will be a much harder sell — the information came wrapped in a haircut selfie.
Blues suffer on the pitch
The fallout from the chaos extended well beyond the headlines. Chelsea were beaten 3-0 by Brighton at the American Express Stadium, a result that dropped them to seventh in the Premier League table.
Rosenior's side are now deep in a goal-scoring crisis, and with Palmer sidelined, the attacking options look increasingly thin. For a club with Champions League ambitions, the alarm bells are ringing loud.
