Iheanacho Seals Scottish Cup Double for Celtic with Goal Against Dunfermline

Kelechi Iheanacho marked his second-half introduction with a decisive goal as Celtic claimed a 3-1 win over Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park on Saturday, completing a historic Double.
The victory arrived just days after Celtic secured the Scottish Premiership title with a dramatic late triumph against Hearts, and the Hoops wasted no time adding a second piece of silverware to their season's haul.
Celtic dominate from the off
Celtic took control early, with Daizen Maeda opening the scoring in the 18th minute. Alistair Johnston played a long ball forward and Maeda coolly lobbed the goalkeeper from the edge of the area to hand his side the advantage.
The Hoops never relented after that opener, maintaining constant pressure on Dunfermline's defence. Belgian midfielder Arne Engels doubled the lead 10 minutes before half-time, firing an unstoppable effort from 25 yards after captain Callum McGregor rolled the ball into his path.
Iheanacho makes his mark
Nigeria international Iheanacho entered the fray in the 58th minute as a substitute for James Forrest and wasted no time making his presence felt. Seven minutes after coming on, he appeared to add a third when set up by Yang Hyun-jun, but the South Korean winger was flagged offside and the effort was disallowed.
Iheanacho refused to be frustrated. In the 72nd minute, the 29-year-old striker dribbled past two defenders and the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into an empty net to put the game beyond doubt.
It was a fitting end to a productive first campaign in Scotland for the former Leicester City forward, who finished the season with 9 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys.
Josh Cooper pulled one back for Dunfermline with a consolation goal 10 minutes from time, but Celtic's grip on the trophy was never in doubt. The Hoops lifted the Scottish Cup to cap off a memorable Double-winning season.
