In a rare interview conducted at Arsenal's training ground ahead of Saturday's UEFA Champions League final, co-chair Josh Kroenke opened up about the extraordinary journey that transformed the club from a period of fan frustration and boardroom upheaval into Premier League champions — and a dynasty in the making.
A season lived intensely
Kroenke described riding the emotional highs and lows of Arsenal's title-winning campaign with the passion of any devoted supporter. He recalled how Max Dowman's breakaway goal in the win over Everton in March had him leaping to his feet — startling a newly adopted puppy, which promptly relieved itself on the living room floor.
The lows were just as vivid. Watching the 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in February from his home in Denver, Colorado — alone — ranked among the most deflating moments of the season.
