Scotland's Golden Generation Eyes History

Scott McTominay has made his ambitions crystal clear — he wants to be part of the first Scotland team to ever advance beyond the group stage at a FIFA World Cup, and he believes this squad is capable of making it happen.

The Group C Challenge

Scotland begin their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign on 13 June in Boston against Haiti, before taking on Morocco — Scotland's African opponents — and football giants Brazil in Group C.

The expanded 48-team format means the top two from each group advance automatically, alongside the eight best third-placed sides, giving Scotland a realistic shot at progression.
