Okoye Dejected After Udinese Let Lead Slip in Six-Goal Lazio Thriller

Maduka Okoye has admitted his disappointment after Udinese squandered a late lead to draw 3-3 with Lazio in a breathless Serie A encounter at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday night.
The Zebras twice led in the closing stages but were denied all three points when Daniel Maldini levelled for the hosts in the 92nd minute — just two minutes after Udinese had taken the lead through Arthur Atta.
A match that swung in every direction
Udinese drew first blood when Kingsley Ehizibue struck a spectacular effort into the roof of the net from a tight angle in the 18th minute. Lazio pulled level five minutes into the second half through a fine finish from Luca Pellegrini.
Pedro put Lazio ahead for the first time with 10 minutes remaining, only for Atta to equalise with a simple tap-in in the 86th minute. The Nigerian goalkeeper's side then appeared to have snatched victory when Atta turned provider and netted again deep into stoppage time — but Maldini had other ideas, restoring parity moments later to seal the draw.
Okoye's honest assessment
Okoye was candid about the mood in the dressing room after the final whistle, even as he acknowledged the point carried some merit.
