Osimhen Calls on Galatasaray to Refocus Ahead of Fenerbahçe Derby

Victor Osimhen has called on his Galatasaray teammates to put their Turkish Cup exit behind them and channel their energy into the upcoming Intercontinental Derby against Fenerbahçe.
The Yellow and Reds were knocked out of the Turkish Cup on Wednesday night, falling 2-0 to Gençlerbirliği at the RAMS Park — a result that will sting, but one Osimhen insists the squad cannot afford to dwell on.
"A very important match awaits us. Like everyone else, I'm eagerly anticipating it. Now is not the time to be upset," Osimhen was quoted as saying by Fanatik.
"We're going into an important match for the championship, and we need to prepare ourselves well."
Title race on the line
The derby against Fenerbahçe carries enormous weight in the title race. Galatasaray currently hold a four-point advantage over their city rivals in second place, with only four matches remaining in the season.
A win for manager Okan Buruk's side would put them in a commanding position to secure the championship, while a Fenerbahçe victory would dramatically tighten the race at the top of the table.
Osimhen's message was clear — the squad must shake off the disappointment quickly and arrive at the derby fully prepared. With the Nigerian striker leading the line, Galatasaray will be expected to carry the fight to their fiercest opponents at a critical moment in the campaign.
