Rangers in Advanced Talks to Sign Hearts Captain Lawrence Shankland

Rangers are in advanced talks to sign Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland, with the Ibrox club eager to complete a deal before the striker heads to the FIFA World Cup 2026 with Scotland.
Talks are progressing well over an initial two-year contract, with an option to extend, that would take Shankland from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
The 30-year-old scored 16 Scottish Premiership goals last season as Hearts finished second behind Celtic, contributing to a total of 20 goals across all competitions. He has long been linked with a move to the club he grew up supporting, though previous Rangers managers failed to make a move for him.
A deal, if concluded, would represent a significant addition to Rangers' attacking options ahead of what promises to be a demanding campaign.
