Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Dutch right-back Jurrien Timber is fit to start Saturday's UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest.

Timber has been absent since suffering a groin injury during Arsenal's victory over Everton in March, leaving Arteta with limited options at right-back. Ben White, the other natural choice for the position, has been sidelined with a knee ligament injury throughout this period.

In Timber's absence, Spain centre-back Cristhian Mosquera filled in at right-back, with midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice also covering the role at various points this season. Timber's return is a significant boost, with images from training sessions in Budapest confirming he has been working alongside his teammates ahead of the final.

Arteta also revealed that Noni Madueke is available for selection after the winger came off during Arsenal's match against Crystal Palace last weekend with a hamstring issue, offering the manager further squad depth ahead of the showpiece occasion.

Arteta: the ambition is bigger

Arsenal enter the final having already secured a first Premier League title in 22 years, a landmark achievement for the club. However, Arteta was quick to dismiss any suggestion that his side might feel the pressure has eased.
