Former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Udeze has called on the new faces in the Super Eagles squad to make the most of their chance to impress at the 2026 Unity Cup, urging them to show head coach Eric Chelle they belong at the highest level.

Chelle named 12 uncapped or fringe players in the squad for the tournament, which opens with Nigeria taking on Zimbabwe in the semi-finals at Charlton's The Valley on May 26 in London.

A platform for the overlooked

Speaking to Brila FM, Udeze — who built his reputation at PAOK and with the Super Eagles — stressed that the Unity Cup represents a genuine audition for those on the periphery of the national set-up.
